Scheme Progression - Road Map

There are a number of stages that must be completed before Certification Services can be conducted.

- The Information Commissioners Office (ICO), the statutory authority for the United Kingdom must first approve the scheme wording to ensure it meets the necessary criteria.

- United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) must pass the operational side of the scheme against ISO/IEC 17065:2012 - Conformity assessment requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services

- European Data Protection Board (EDPB) can approve any ICO approved Certification Schemes for EU Member State use.
